Nexium control is a combination product containing 20mg of esomeprazole and 20mg of ranitidine. Each tablet contains 20mg of ranitidine and 20mg of esomeprazole.
Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach. This reduces the amount of acid your stomach is unable to break down. As a result, this medicine decreases the amount of acid that your stomach produces and improves the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Esomeprazole is taken as a daily dose and can be taken with or without food. Do not take esomeprazole more than once a day.
Esomeprazole is also used to treat bacterial infections in the stomach and biliary tract.
Directions: Take one tablet once daily with food. Do not take more than 2 tablets in any 24 hour period, or give more medicine in any 24hr period.
